Also available in the Origin Range
Temporary crowns are interim restorations.
Benefits
- Diagnostic tool
- Protect teeth
- Stabilise tooth position
- Allow soft tissue remodelling, especially with implants
Considerations
- The length of time temporary restorations are worn varies from a few days to several weeks or months
- Full mouth reconstruction cases often employ long-term provisionals for aesthetic and functional evaluation
- Provisionals enable the patient to assess the final result of a smile design or definitive reconstruction. The patient and family can make an informed decision regarding the contour, size, function and colour of the proposed restoration
- For larger cases, excellent well-fitting temporaries enable the patient to trial the phonetics of the final prosthesis
